Hearing Test

Hearing loss can be caused by many different factors. A proper hearing test is the first step in determining the source of the loss and the personal treatment that is designed just for you. We provide hearing tests from birth through adulthood.

Tinnitus Therapy

Tinnitus or ringing in the ears, is the sensation of hearing ringing, buzzing, chirping, whistling or other sounds. It can be intermittent or constant, and can vary in loudness. No matter how you are affected by tinnitus, one thing is for sure – you want it to stop. The good news is there are numerous tinnitus management tools available so that you don’t have to suffer any longer. Contact us to schedule an appointment to discuss your tinnitus symptoms.

Balance Testing

Patients with chronic balance problems and dizziness can experience a tremendous handicap in their everyday lives. Normal daily activities are often avoided for fear of bringing on an attack of their symptoms, which can include disorientation, lack of balance, light-headedness, swaying, or, in the case of vertigo, a spinning sensation that can be accompanied by nausea.

Cognitive Screenings

Research in recent years has linked hearing health with cognitive health. Patients with an untreated hearing loss are now at a greater risk for cognitive decline. We are now using a Cognivue device to screen our patients’ cognitive health and make appropriate referrals if necessary.

Hearing Aid Verification/Real-Ear Measures

Real-ear measures are a critical aspect of making sure patients have success with their hearing aids. It’s the gold standard used to determine whether or not a hearing aid user is receiving the precise level of amplification needed at every frequency. During the measurement, a thin probe microphone is inserted into the ear canal alongside the hearing aid. The audiologist receives readings and can adjust the sound levels to match target amplification levels based on the hearing aid user’s hearing loss across the speech frequencies.

If circumstances prevent you from making a visit to us in our office, no problem. We offer convenient telehealth care. Most appointments can be done via telehealth, with the exception of the in-person hearing evaluation.
